Gasoline prices rise again for the third consecutive week, while diesel and kerosene move downward
Consumers will face higher gasoline costs once more this week, as several retailers announced mixed price actions on Monday. Gasoline will increase for the third week in a row, while diesel and kerosene see reductions.
Shell Pilipinas Corp. disclosed a per-liter gasoline hike of P0.20, paired with a drop of P0.20 per liter for both diesel and kerosene.
Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz are adopting the same pattern, with price increases for gasoline and reductions for diesel, but they do not offer kerosene.
The new rates take effect at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, for all participating companies, except Cleanfuel, whose adjustments will start at 4:01 p.m. the same day.
Other fuel retailers have not yet released their weekly price notices.
Earlier, the Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) had suggested possible price rollbacks for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene this week, pointing to softer global prices as markets refocus on the Russia-Ukraine peace talks.
A week ago, fuel sellers raised gasoline prices by P1.20 per liter, while prices for diesel and kerosene remained unchanged.
Year-to-date, as of December 2, 2025, gasoline shows a net increase of P19.90 per liter, diesel up by P21.75 per liter, and kerosene up by P6.75 per liter.
